Our books are searchable by title, author and keyword. Our keywords include locations, family names, and subjects like "civil war" and "transportation."
Tip -- don't make your initial searches too specific. Try a state and county name, for example, then use the filtering tools in the search results to narrow your list, if needed.
As many of you know, we lost our computer catalog files in 2023 and have been recreating them.
As of 1/30/2026, we have finished re-cataloging all of Kansas, the published genealogies and the topical categories (R-6XX), including the military, and are just finishing the states in the first half of the alphabet.
You may notice some bars with more than 100% done -- that means we've acquired NEW books in that category.
